A friend and I decided over a month ago that it would be fun to take our boys (six total!) to the beach for 2 days, 1 night. So we loaded up yesterday morning and drove to Pismo! We ate our picnic lunch and then let the boys play for over four hours. They had a BALL in the giant "sand box."
These three had the most fun digging for sand crabs. They found quite a few (as you'll see in pictures later on).
Michael got brave this time and went into the water on his own to fill up his bucket!
Then he took the water to his new friends -- he is such a social butterfly!
Ryan was content to play in the sand near our blanket and chairs.
Strangers even stopped to admire the boys' crab treasures! ;-)
Kyle had fun digging in the sand near the blanket as well.
There was a nice breeze, so Ryan asked to fly the kite he made in VBS last week.
He was so proud of himself!
If you look closely, you can see it says RYAN on his kite.
Joshua was proud to show us his crab friends.
Then he pretended to eat one. YUCK!
All the boys came round to see the crabs he had -- I think he had 10 or more of varying sizes. And don't worry, I made him go put them all back down by the water so they wouldn't die! I'm not that cruel to crabs, even if I don't like them. hehe
This morning was cloudy, but we wanted to get a few shots. Here are our friends.
And me with my boys!
The six boys -- almost 9, 8, 6 1/2, almost 6, almost 5, and 4!
These guys keep us busy! :-)
But what a fun fun time we had together.
We both agreed that we'd be willing to do it again!
Hooray for friends, fun, and the beach!
