Canning time

Sorry for the gap in posting...just haven't felt like posting much lately. But tonight I will post. After a fun lunch with a friend, I picked up some peaches from my cousin. Then came the fun part! Here is the box of peaches (nearly full). They smelled oh-so-yummy!
Joshua was happy to be my peeling helper! He said my apron should have had peaches on it instead of apples! hehe

Once the peaches were peeled and sliced, into the pot with water and sugar they went!

they cooked for several minutes and then were put into jars. I always love hearing the jars "pop." What a satisfying sound!

And even more rewarding is looking at the finished product when I'm all done and cleaned up! 21 jars of peaches to go into the pantry. YUMMY!

Thanks to Joshua and my mom for the help today. Our tummies will thank you later too! :-)
