Garden

This year we decided to plant a garden. We figured with the way the economy is, we need to save money any way we can. So Bill tilled an area out of the way (mostly) of the boys. We didn't have time to kill the grass, so we have a lot of grass in our garden. We'll fix it for next year...anyhow we planted carrots, then lettuce, zucchini, corn, and cucumbers in our little area. There are also two grape vines next to the fence. Outside the bricked off area, we have six tomato plants.
The flowering zucchini plants.
My lettuce! I made a HUGE salad for Mother's Day and used all my home grown lettuce. It tasted SO yummy.
Our corn is almost as tall as my knee!
And just yesterday, we harvested our first crop -- four zucchini plants. The boys were so excited to pick them. We haven't eaten them yet, but I am excited to start eating our own produce!

your garden looks awesome. We've harvest a few zucchini, too. Isn't it fun?

That's wonderful! I want to get better at gardening; I've had somewhat mixed results. I'm still bummed that I didn't get one planted this year. Enjoy your delicious harvest!
