Upper GI X--ray

Well, Friday will be a new experience for us. Ryan saw a GI a few weeks ago who ordered some tests.

The first was a blood test. Fairly easy -- I just had to hold down a screaming squirming toddler while the phlebotomist drew two vials of blood (which took quite a while!).

The second set of tests were stool samples. I'll just leave it at that.

The third test is an upper GI x-ray. We finally got it scheduled for Friday morning. We have to be at Children's Hospital by 8:30, which means leaving Reedley no later than 7:30 and dropping of my other two children some place (thankfully -- at my mother's) before then. The real trick is that I can not let Ryan eat OR drink after midnight -- and she told me we will be there for THREE HOURS!!! Oh me, oh my. My little guy is going to be a wreck!

Please pray for us on Friday morning that all will go well, but most importantly that this test will show whatever needs to be shown for the doctor and our follow-up next Thursday. Thanks.
