When Joshua was about 2, he had an imaginary friend named Paeda. He would talk about Paeda all the time -- Paeda did this, Paeda did that, etc. It lasted for over a year before he stopped talking about Paeda so much.
This morning, at breakfast, Michael began talking about Elva.
Who's Elva? Well....after the following conversation, I discovered, Elva must be Michael's imaginary friend!
Michael -- Elva fell off the bed and got an owie on her tummy. her mommy kissed it.
Mommy -- who is Elva?
Michael -- she plays bulldozer with me.
Mommy -- does Elva live here?
Michael -- no, she lives with her mommy but she plays bulldozer with me
Mommy to Daddy -- I wonder if Elva and Paeda are brother and sister? (I looked at Joshua to see how he would react and he just smiled).
Michael -- yes, they are.
I think there are more to the conversation, but that is all I can remember at this point! Maybe I'll ask him more about Elva in the morning and have a pen and paper nearby!
(And no, I haven't forgotten that I need to post Ryan's birthday pictures....this was just my first day of no school and I got some free blueberries from a friend and spent hours baking with my niece. Maybe I'll do photos later this week.....)

I must say your boys have very creative names for their friends. Are they out of a book, or something, or completely random? My kids have never had imaginary friends. I wonder why not!
That is so sweet! Aw...
